Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer (Power) for our Water Business Area with opportunities in Detroit, MI; Columbus, OH; or Akron/Toledo, OH. The role focuses on electrical design for municipal and industrial water/wastewater projects, including power distribution, standby power, lighting, and instrumentation and controls, with support from a leading national firm.

As an entry-level engineer, you will work on design criteria, calculations, and deliverables like one-line

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology or related field.
Working to obtain or obtained Professional Engineer License (PE).
Experience in water/wastewater electrical design.
Knowledge of instrumentation, PLC controls and SCADA network architecture.
Active participation in regional/national professional associations.

Responsibilities

Define design criteria and prepare deliverables such as one-line diagrams and control schematics using AutoCAD and Revit.
Prepare construction cost estimates, conduct code reviews, perform field investigations, and draft technical reports.
During construction, provide engineering support by reviewing submittals, shop drawings, and responding to RFIs.
