Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer (Power) to join our Water Business Area in Ohio, with opportunities in Columbus, Detroit, or Akron/Toledo. You will work on municipal and industrial water/wastewater electrical systems and power distribution design.

The role emphasizes AutoCAD and Revit proficiency, collaborative cross-disciplinary work, and growth toward professional licensure. May 2027 graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Willing to obtain or already hold Professional Engineer license.
• Experience in water/wastewater electrical design.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, PLC controls and SCADA.
• Active participation in professional associations.

Responsibilities

• Define design criteria, perform detailed calculations, and develop deliverables like one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans and specs using AutoCAD/Revit.
• Prepare construction cost estimates, conduct code reviews, perform field investigations, and draft reports/memorandums.
• During construction, provide engineering support, review submittals, shop drawings, and respond to RFIs.
