Section 1 – Position Summary
This position is responsible for performing skilled duties in the operation of a water treatment plant. Duties involve routine inspection of plant processes and equipment. Works under general supervision.

This position requires physical exertion with lifting requirements up to 10 pounds daily in order to obtain samples and turn valves, and up to 75 pounds weekly to clean basins using high pressure hoses and assisting in repairs to pumps, motors and machinery while using various hand tools and equipment. Individual must be able to make rounds and inspect equipment located in remote areas within the plant, occasionally at heights or depths in excess of 12 feet. Working conditions include exposure to weather, odor, chemical hazards, gases and dust. Hand tools, broom, sample collectors, flow meters, respirators, SCBA's, lab equipment, and safety equipment will be used during normal activities.
