Wastewater Plant Operator III
Under the supervision of a Lead Wastewater Plant Operator(s) and/or Plant Supervisor(s), the Wastewater Plant Operator III performs the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of wastewater facilities and systems, including headworks, liquid streams, solids handling, odor control, structures, SCADA, and lift stations. The role involves ensuring asset condition, water quality, and safety standards are met or exceeded, and may include supervisory responsibilities.
This role is performed in wastewater treatment environments, involving physical activity such as sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 75 lbs., bending, reaching, and working with chemicals, machinery, and in outdoor conditions. Work may include irregular hours, overtime, and working in confined or hazardous environments with PPE. Physical abilities include manual dexterity, visual and auditory discrimination, and operating vehicles and equipment.
