Job summary

City of Plantation is seeking a non-exempt shift operator for its water/wastewater facility. You will operate and monitor plant equipment, perform routine maintenance, and ensure compliance with procedures. Training will cover sample collection, testing, and process adjustments to maintain water quality.

Requires a high school diploma, Florida Class C license, and related experience. Emergency response duties may be required with NIMS training. Benefits included.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate water or wastewater treatment plant on assigned shift.
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of equipment and machinery.
• Take samples and conduct analyses to adjust treatment processes.
• Maintain logs and prepare periodic operation reports.
• Instruct and mentor junior operators as needed.
