Job summary

Oklahoma Municipal League, Inc. in Tuttle seeks a Water Plant Superintendent to lead the water distribution system’s operation, maintenance, and compliance with DEQ and EPA requirements. You will supervise staff, operate heavy equipment, and ensure safe, reliable water services for the community.

The role requires a Class C Water Operator license, supervisory experience, and ability to manage daily records, testing, and regulatory reporting under Public Works supervision.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience: Knowledge and experience working on a water system; supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Communication: Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Driver's license: Valid Oklahoma driver's license; pass pre-hire drug test and ongoing tests.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, instruct, and assist the water department staff in monitoring, operating, and maintaining the water distribution system.
• Supervise operations of an IONIC Exchange water treatment facility and manage equipment, vehicles, and tools.
• Oversee safety procedures and train staff to maintain safety standards; ensure regulatory compliance with DEQ and EPA.
• Complete daily paperwork, manage attendance records, and coordinate with Public Works Director and city management.
• Perform other duties as deemed by the Public Works Director and City Manager.
