Job summary

Rockdale is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to support preventive maintenance and repairs of water treatment and distribution systems, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment. Work under supervision to ensure compliance with water quality and safety regulations.

The role involves coordinating with multiple teams, performing maintenance on ozone generators, pumps, and SCADA components, and providing 24-hour on-call coverage across county facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of mechanical maintenance and repair experience in water/wastewater systems.
• Valid State of Georgia driver's license.
• SCBA and supplied-air systems certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preventive maintenance and repairs of water/wastewater equipment.
• Coordinate with electrical/instrumentation teams for repairs.
• Maintain and repair ozone generators, GAC filters, pumps, and SCADA-related equipment.
• Respond to on-call emergencies and support operations at multiple sites.
