Job summary

Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance across the water reclamation facility and pump stations. The role emphasizes preventive upkeep and safe operation under supervision.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of related experience, a valid SC driver's license, and relevant licenses. On-call duties, night/weekend shifts, and weather-related responses are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of at least one (1) but preferably two (2) or more years of previous experience in the field of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance.
• Requires SC Driver's License and WEASC VCC Collection System Class D license within 12 months of hire.
• Promotable to Maintenance Tech 2 with class B license; safety training as deemed necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on pumping stations, flow monitoring stations, and treatment plant equipment.
• Inspect generators, batteries, oil level, and fan belts; replace fuel and oil filters as needed.
• Inspect pump station wet wells, float switch operations, ventilation fans, and other safety equipment.
