Job summary

Columbus Water & Power in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic to install, maintain, repair, and remove industrial mechanical equipment at Hap Cremean Water Plant.

The role requires completion of the twelfth grade with two years' experience in industrial mechanical work or a GED, a valid driver's license, and strict adherence to safety protocols including confined space and lockout/tagout. Schedule is M-F 6:30am–3:00pm.

Qualifications

• Completion of the twelfth grade and two years of experience in installation, maintenance, repair or removal of industrial mechanical equipment.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and remove industrial mechanical equipment.
• Inspect, test, diagnose, and document equipment performance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and lubrication on pumps and related systems.
• Operate equipment like hoists, cranes and power tools safely.
• Follow safety procedures including confined space and lockout/tagout.
