H2O Innovation Inc. is seeking a Water Operator to join our team in Laurel, Mississippi. You will operate, inspect, and maintain water distribution and sewer collection systems to ensure safe, compliant service for our communities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Class C Water Operator license after hire. We value safety, reliability, and strong problem-solving abilities in all weather conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Operate, maintain, and repair water distribution and sewer collection system infrastructure.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair lines, valves, hydrants, service connections, and equipment.
• Assist with locating, repairing, and replacing damaged water and sewer lines.
• Install, read, test, repair, and replace water meters as needed.
• Monitor system performance and identify leaks, blockages, and equipment malfunctions.
• Collect water samples and perform routine testing per regulatory requirements.
• Operate hand and power tools and department equipment safely.
• Respond to customer service requests, utility issues, and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records, work orders, and logs.
• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and applicable regulations

H 2 O Innovation provides public works management services & operations assistance for water & wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations, and businesses across North America. H 2 O is currently seeking a Water Operator to join our team in Laurel, MS.

• $16-20/hr, based on experience and certifications

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair water distribution and sewer collection system infrastructure.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair water and sewer lines, valves, hydrants, service connections, and related equipment.
• Assist with locating, repairing, and replacing damaged water and sewer lines.

The Skills We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Class C Water Operator License preferred but not required; ability to obtain certification after hire required.
• Basic knowledge of water distribution and sewer collection systems preferred.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and utility vehicles.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
