Job summary

Liberty Utilities is seeking a Team Lead, Operations in Tyler, TX. The role oversees field crews, enforces safety rules, and directs water utility operations with a focus on reliability and emergency response.

The successful candidate will manage schedules, supervise contractors, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining tools and documentation. Travel and standby work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Grade 3 Water Distribution Certificate, or be able to obtain within 18 months.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid driver’s license; Class A license may be required (location specific).
• Minimum 5 years of related water utility experience.
• Proficiency with CIS Customer Information System.

Responsibilities

• Lead Liberty staff and contractor crews; organize and direct field activities.
• Develop annual meter reading and weekly shut-off schedules.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned vehicles; complete safety inspection sheets.
• Perform leaks, mains, hydrants, and service installations/repairs.
• Operate field equipment and test meters; assist in water quality testing.
