Job summary

WaterWisePro is seeking an experienced Chief Plant Operator to oversee the District’s water production, treatment, storage, and distribution, ensuring regulatory compliance and safe operation of SCADA and telemetry systems. This leadership role includes staff supervision, budgeting, and coordinating with regulators and contractors.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in water treatment, production, distribution, and regulatory compliance.
• At least two (2) years in lead, acting supervisor, crew leader, or supervisory experience.
• California Class A Commercial Driver License with Tanker Endorsement (to be obtained within 12 months).
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; further coursework in water treatment or related fields is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, supervise, review, and participate in the work of water operations personnel.
• Oversee groundwater production, treatment, storage, and distribution facilities.
• Monitor production, storage, pressures, pumping efficiency, and water demands.
• Develop blending strategies for regulatory constituents and maintain water quality programs.
