Job summary

North Alamo Water Supply Corporation seeks a Meter Reader I to join our team at the Edinburg corporate office. This full-time role reads residential and commercial meters and records water usage accurately, while supporting related billing tasks.

You will work 40 hours per week, with on-call rotation, and may assist with meter installs, replacements, and basic field maintenance. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are preferred; a Texas Driver License is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver License and be insurable.
• Working toward Class D Water license from the TCEQ is required.

Responsibilities

• Read water meters and record volumes for residential and commercial customers.
• Assist in collection of delinquent accounts as needed.
• Assist with routing new meters, changing meters, and installing customer boxes or repairing leaks at meter sites.
• Participate in required training programs and comply with company policies.
