Job summary

UMS is seeking a self-motivated Meter Installer for the DeRidder project in DeRidder, LA. You will check, replace, and test water meters and related components, with on-the-job training provided.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. You may be reassigned to different sites across the continental United States as projects change.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to work outdoors in heat and varying weather conditions.
• Good communication and basic math skills for meter work.

Responsibilities

• Remove existing meters and install new meters as directed.
• Test meters and verify proper operation and orientation.
• Input data and findings into a tablet and maintain records.
• Restore customer property after work and communicate with customers clearly.
