Job summary

Bermex, Inc. is hiring a Water Meter Installer to maintain and read water meters, including AMI/AMR upgrades. The role involves significant walking outdoors, time management, and safe operation of equipment. Training will be provided; a valid driver’s license is required.

The role emphasizes customer interaction, data entry, and adherence to safety protocols in various field scenarios across the United States.

Qualifications

• Education: None. Must be 18 years of age or older
• Experience: No experience necessary, employees will be trained. Valid driver's license is required
• High School Diploma or GED preferred for advancement

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of water service for leaks
• Identify hazards at meter sites and report accordingly
• Properly change out water meters of varying sizes and brands
• Properly change out water meter registers for AMI/AMR upgrade
• Read water meters and enter data into handheld devices
• Assist on additional projects as necessary
• Refer consumer complaints to authorities and provide information about services
