Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of installing, maintaining, repairing, and testing water meters and reading systems.
• Underground utilities locates and markings are required.
• Customer service and billing procedures knowledge.
• Ability to read technical manuals, maps, GIS records, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace water meters and components of the meter-reading system.
• Perform field Locates of underground water, sewer and utility services.
• Collect meter readings and ensure data is transmitted to billing accurately.
• Maintain computerized records for metering, field service and cross-connection activities.
• Operate safely in varied outdoor conditions and promote good public relations.
