Qualifications

• Knowledge of water meter infrastructure and basic operational understanding.

Responsibilities

• Set, maintain, repair, replace and program water meters and related infrastructure.
• Evaluate MTU continuity and perform splicing or replacement as needed.
• Inspect meter registers and replace if necessary; program MTU after repairs.
• Perform daily data syncs to update customer accounts.
• Inspect and repair leaks around meters; replace meters as required.
• Coordinate with Public Works on repairs to main water system.
• Disconnect and reconnect water service for non-payment issues.
• Test meters in-place or pull for lab testing; install temporary meters during testing.
• Process service orders using City Works software.
• Manage inventory of meter parts and related equipment.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
