City of Bradenton is seeking a Water Distribution Technician for the Public Works & Utilities – Water Distribution division. You will install, maintain, repair, and test water meters and backflow devices, and inspect for cross-connections.

Requires a Water Distribution Level 3 License and FWPCOA/TREEO Backflow certifications, Florida driver license, and ability to work outdoors in varied conditions. This is a non-exempt, full-time role with overtime and emergency calls.

Formación

• Must possess required license and certifications (Water Distribution Level 3 and Backflow certifications).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined or outdoor conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Install, maintain, repair and test water meters and backflow devices.
• Inspect for illegal cross connections between potable and non-potable water supplies.
• Document daily activities and maintain records for compliance.
