Job summary

Eagle River Water & Sanitation District is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to support drinking water, wastewater, and surface water testing. The role includes conducting microbiological, chemical, and nutrient analyses, field sampling, and data reporting to ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing tasks within a small team. A Colorado driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification within two years are required; training and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or a bachelor's degree may substitute for some or all of the experience.
Laboratory Analyst I requires a minimum of three years of laboratory analysis experience.
State of Colorado Water Certification (any level) must be obtained within one year of employment.
Working knowledge of chemistry/biochemistry principles and laboratory analysis techniques preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication for interacting with customers and agencies.

Responsibilities

Lab Analysis: perform microbiological, chemical, biochemical, nutrient, and physical analyses on water samples.
Field Work: collect samples from District sites and deploy QC data loggers.
Data & Reporting: record data, perform calculations, and enter results into LIMS; support regulatory data submissions.
