Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is hiring a Water Jet Operator in the 2nd shift to perform setup, operation, and basic maintenance of water jet machinery. You will load materials with a crane, secure parts, inspect during processing, and read engineering drawings to ensure quality.

The role requires 2+ years of water jet experience, a high school diploma, and willingness to learn. Competitive hourly pay with shift differential and quarterly incentives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in water jet operation.
• Machinist certificate is a plus.
• Experience with machine maintenance and programming is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate water jet machinery per work instructions and cut programs.
• Safely load/unload materials using a crane and ensure accurate placement.
• Secure workpieces with clamps or shims to maintain cutting accuracy.
• Fill media hopper and maintain abrasive material per specs.
• Perform in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and apply basic shop math.
• Troubleshoot basic issues related to cut programs, flow rates, and media.
• Perform routine maintenance on pump, head, and fluids.
• Execute basic programming tasks for the water jet machine.
