Job summary
Klune Industries, a part of PCC, is seeking a Water Jet Operator for 2nd shift in Los Angeles. The role involves loading, setting up, and running water jet operations, reading prints, and performing in-process inspections with basic hand tools while adhering to safety and quality procedures.
The position offers $21–$25 per hour, a $2 per hour 2nd shift differential, quarterly incentive bonus, and overtime opportunities.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of water jet operation experience.
- Machinist certificate is a plus.
- Experience with machine maintenance and programming is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate water jet machinery per work instructions.
- Safely load and unload materials using a crane.
- Secure workpieces with clamps and shims to maintain alignment.
- Fill media hopper with abrasive material as per specs.
- Conduct in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, pin gauges.
- Read engineering drawings and apply basic shop math.
- Identify and address operational issues and troubleshoot.
- Maintain water jet equipment (pump, head, fluids).
- Perform basic programming tasks for water jet machine.
