Job summary

American Cast Iron Pipe Company is seeking a Sales Representative for the American Flow Control (AFC) Sales Division to drive growth in water, wastewater, and sewer markets. You will generate new leads while managing and expanding our existing client base across the assigned territory.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic problem solver and effective public speaker, comfortable with frequent travel and technical product consultations on hydrants and valves. Remote work with travel is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years municipal water works product experience.
• Willing to live within territory and travel 60%+.
• Ability to interpret specifications for hydrants, valves, and related products.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with municipalities, engineering firms, contractors, and distributors.
• Promote AFC division products in the territory and support spec development.
• Consult on hydrants, valves, and related products; negotiate and present.
• Respond to inquiries, process orders, provide quotes, and manage pricing concerns.
• Travel within territory to support distributors and provide post-sale support.
