Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, TX seeks a Project Manager for the Water Department to own capital water infrastructure projects, from concept through commissioning, coordinating with production, ops, maintenance, EHS, and finance to ensure reliability and sustainability.

You’ll mentor future project managers and engineers, shape capital planning strategy, and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment, delivering high-quality water systems for the fab.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, industrial or related Engineering.
• Minimum six years of progressive experience in engineering and project management.
• Experience in heavy industrial environments with pumps, piping, process equipment, and controls.
• Experience in the Semiconductor or other high-technology environment preferred.
• Able to coordinate with internal teams and external contractors.
• Strong Safety Culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of water infrastructure capital projects from planning through commissioning.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate project activities with operations to minimize water system impacts.
• Monitor progress, milestones, budgets, and quality targets.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with internal and external partners.
• Review and approve project documentation, reports, contracts, and change orders.
• Conduct site visits, progress inspections, and project meetings.
• Provide leadership for complex infrastructure projects aligned with strategic objectives and sustainability.
