Job summary

Gradiant invites motivated students to join our project coordination internship focused on water infrastructure. You will assist managers with daily coordination, scheduling, budgeting tracking, and documentation across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Sophomore standing or above preferred.
• Demonstrated academic performance and interest in project management, engineering, construction, or water infrastructure projects.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with water or wastewater treatment systems and processes.
• Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other scheduling software.
• Exposure to AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or engineering drawings.
• Basic understanding of construction project delivery methods and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination activities.
• Support project scheduling using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar project management software.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, deliverables, and schedules to support successful execution.
• Prepare project status reports, meeting summaries, and follow-up action item logs for project stakeholders.
• Assist with tracking project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecast updates.
• Support the preparation and review of Schedule of Values (SOVs), invoices, and project progress reports.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and project records.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents under the guidance of project team members.
• Assist with procurement activities, including tracking equipment and material deliveries.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely project support and material availability.
• Conduct field visits to construction sites to observe installation activities and monitor project progress.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to collect project updates and support project execution.
• Assist with project closeout activities, turnover packages, punch list tracking, and final documentation.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, quality standards, and job site requirements while supporting project activities.
