Job summary

Harris & Associates in Southern California seeks an Engineer I or II to contribute to water infrastructure projects from planning through construction support. You will use AutoCAD for design and construction drawings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, sustainable solutions.

The role requires a civil engineering degree and 1–4 years of relevant experience; an EIT is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
EIT preferred.
1–4 years of relevant engineering or technical experience; Southern California experience preferred, water market experience preferred.
Working knowledge of design and construction drawings/plans and ability to integrate water system designs within a multidisciplinary project environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Supports Clients and Projects while assisting Project Managers and Project Engineers.
Supports preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E).
Proficiency in AutoCAD software in support of design and construction drawings.
Supports preparation of technical memoranda, basis of design reports, preliminary engineering reports, and other written documents.
Supports preparation of engineering calculations and other process-driven solutions.
Reviews, understands, and honors Project Scope of Work/Services, Budgets, and Schedules.
