Job summary

Harris & Associates is seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer in Irvine, CA to lead design and delivery of transportation and municipal infrastructure projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• California PE license or ability to obtain licensure preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive civil engineering design experience in transportation/municipal/public infrastructure.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
• Experience preparing PS&E packages for public agency projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and prepare engineering designs and construction contract documents (PS&E).
• Develop transportation and municipal infrastructure designs, including roadways, drainage, and complete streets.
• Coordinate and oversee technical aspects of project delivery to ensure quality and compliance.
• Prepare engineering analyses, design reports, and permit applications.
• Review utility conflicts and manage submittals through agency review processes.
• Manage subconsultants and ensure project scope, schedule, and budget alignment.
