Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Intern/Co-op in Chattanooga, TN to support water infrastructure projects. You will participate in activities ranging from project administration and data gathering to modeling, design, and field observations.

You will gain hands-on exposure to CAD, GIS, and other design tools while supporting a multidisciplinary team on local and national projects. The role is ideal for a student pursuing a civil engineering degree, with opportunities to learn across water resources, site

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Interest in water resources, site civil, water treatment, hydrology and hydraulics, structural, and construction.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and capable of professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project administration: write reports, gather information, draft proposals and correspondence, track costs, and complete progress reports.
• Support technical staff with data gathering, evaluating project data, preparing reports, and design calculations.
• Perform modeling and design activities on water infrastructure projects.
• Gain exposure to CAD, GIS, and other design tools.
• Assist with field work and construction observations as needed.
• Perform other engineering/administrative duties as required.
