Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is offering a Water Infrastructure Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 in Henderson, NV. You will assist in preparing drawings, specifications, and design documents for water projects, collect data, perform basic analyses, and support senior engineers with feasibility studies and reports.

Ideal candidates are pursuing civil or environmental engineering with ABET accreditation and have basic computer skills, plus familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• 60 hours completed toward civil or environmental engineering degree from ABET-accredited program by Summer 2027.
• Proficiency in data entry and basic spreadsheet/database use.
• Basic math skills; willingness to learn; familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents for water infrastructure projects.
• Support engineering studies by collecting data, performing basic analyses, and completing routine calculations.
• Assist in evaluating design alternatives and documenting findings under guidance of experienced engineers.
• Prepare portions of technical reports, permit materials, and project documentation for review by senior staff.
• Assist with data collection, site condition analysis, and regulatory and feasibility research.
• Support construction-phase activities by reviewing records, tracking progress, and keeping documents organized.
• Create basic graphic presentations and supporting materials for project deliverables.
