Job summary

Cougar Restoration Inc is seeking a dedicated Water Technician to assist homeowners with water, mold, and fire damage projects. You’ll work on-site, coordinate with owners, perform light demolition, and document moisture readings and photos for our team.

The role includes on-call duties, working in tight spaces, lifting heavy items, and assisting with insurance claims. A valid driver's license is required, with family-friendly benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year preferred in water mitigation, mold remediation or fire damage.
• Certifications such as IICRC-WRT / ANSI / AMRT are a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and navigate stairs; crawlspaces/attics access.
• Bi-lingual candidates are ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with property owners to assess the damage needing repair.
• Perform light demolition tasks as needed.
• Monitor jobs daily, record moisture readings, and upload photos with notes.
• Rotate on-call week/weekends for emergencies after hours.
• Work in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
• Wears full PPE when mold or sewage cleanup is performed.
• Assist property owners through the claims process.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
