Job summary

Madison County Commission is seeking a Water Services Field Representative to perform semi-skilled to skilled labor in water system construction and maintenance. You will install water meters, turn services on/off, and address delinquent bills while ensuring safety and excellent customer communication.

Responsibilities include leak checks, meter repairs, GIS/work order usage, and being on-call every four weeks for after-hours duty. High School diploma required; plumbing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe working environment.
• Turn water services on and off.
• Complete meter orders and re-reads with accurate readings.
• Report water leaks and unauthorized use of water services.
• Install and repair meters.
• Repair leaks around meter boxes.
• Isolate water main leaks using system valves.
• Use GIS mapping and work order systems to complete tasks.
• Paint structures and perform maintenance tasks.
• Service, clean, and maintain vehicles and tools.
