Job summary

Garver's Water Design Center in Fayetteville, AR is seeking a student intern to contribute to electrical power and controls design for water and wastewater projects. This in-office internship provides mentorship from experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

You will gain hands-on experience, training from our water staff and project managers, and exposure to the consulting engineering industry while visiting project sites in the region.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an electrical engineering degree in an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Interest in designing water and wastewater infrastructure.

Internship Description

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced water professionals and industry leaders.
• Gain real-world experience in the design of electrical power and controls systems through assisting with a wide array of water projects.
• Receive training from our experienced water staff and project managers.
• Gain experience in the competitive consulting engineering industry.
• Visit some of Garver's Water project sites.

Requirements

• Candidates must be pursuing an electrical engineering in an ABET accredited program.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.
• Previous consulting industry exposure or experience.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
