The role requires 10+ years of experience, a PE license, and expertise in drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater design, plus proficiency in AutoCAD and design software. Salary target: $140,000–$200,000.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Experience in drinking water, wastewater and/or stormwater design
• Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Proficient in AutoCAD (preferred)
• Knowledge of design software packages including HEC-RAS, XP-SWMM, EPA-SWMM, SewerGems, InfoWater, WaterGems, BioWin (preferred)
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must complete a background check

Responsibilities

• Perform workload projections reviews and adjust resources to fulfill commitments
• Review invoices, cost data, schedules, and budgets with managers to ensure timely completion
• Maintain backlog with business development staff
• Identify and convert new business opportunities to contract backlog
• Lead, mentor, and develop regional managers and junior staff
• Evaluate staffing requirements and initiate hiring to meet project demands
• Ensure technical quality and client requirement conformance of work products
• Prepare environmental engineering calculations and construction drawings
• Prepare contract proposals and cost estimates
• Oversee production of project documents (reports, drawings, specs)
• Monitor project schedules and budgets
• Coordinate projects with other business units
