Horner & Shifrin, Inc. in Missouri is seeking a Business Unit Leader to drive strategic growth in our Water Division. You will mentor a growing team, lead client development, and shape the firm’s business strategy with an ownership, collaborative culture.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, a Professional Engineer license, and strong leadership and communication skills. Proficiency with AutoCAD, design software and Microsoft Office is preferred, and performance-based compensation is

Qualifications

Licensed Professional Engineer.
Experience in drinking water, wastewater and/or stormwater design.
Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Proficient in AutoCAD (preferred).
Knowledge of design software packages (HEC-RAS, XP-SWMM, EPA-SWMM, SewerGems, InfoWater, WaterGems, BioWin).
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must complete a background check.

Responsabilités

Review workload projections and adjust resources as needed to meet commitments.
Review invoices, cost data, schedules, and budgets with managers.
Maintain backlog with business development staff and identify new opportunities.
Lead, mentor, and develop regional managers and junior staff.
Evaluate staffing requirements and initiate hires as needed.
Monitor quality and conformance to client requirements of work products.
Prepare environmental calculations and construction drawings.
Prepare contract proposals and cost estimates.
Oversee production of high-quality project documents.
Monitor project schedules and budgets and coordinate with other units.
