Job summary

Town of Eagle seeks a Water/Wastewater Technician to maintain and operate the town’s Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection systems. Responsibilities include booster pumps, hydrants, valves, leaks, meters, and coordinating with contractors.

The role requires strong communication, safety focus, and the ability to work on-call with overtime as needed, including after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• Requires 1-3 years related construction experience and/or training.
• Water Distribution Class 1 and Wastewater Collection Class 1 certifications; must obtain within one year of hire.
• Knowledge of construction plans and codes; ability to read and interpret plans.

Responsibilities

• Respond to water main breaks, sewer backups, and low water pressure; notify affected residents and businesses.
• Maintain and operate 68 miles of water main, booster pumps, vaults, hydrants, valves, and water tanks.
• Maintain 39 miles of wastewater mains, manholes, and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate meter reading and installation with Town departments and Utility Billing.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with the Town's collection system maintenance program and Cross Connection Control.
