Job summary

The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking a Trunk Main Manager within the Distribution Engineering Unit of the Bureau of Water & Sewer Operations. The role oversees Supervisors of Mechanics in Trunk Maintenance and directs staff for water supply, emergencies, and regulator maintenance to ensure adequate pressure and system reliability.

Candidates should have eight years of related experience with at least four in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

• Eight years of full-time experience in the construction, operation, repair, or maintenance of water supply distribution, sewer and/or drainage systems within the last ten years.
• Four years of supervisory or managerial experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Supervisors of Mechanics in the Trunk Maintenance unit.
• Direct Trunk Maintenance Staff for water supply and low-pressure emergencies.
• Coordinate maintenance/repair of in-city regulators and advise on corrective actions during low pressure or volume issues.
