Job summary

City of Lynwood is seeking a Water Service/Wastewater Worker II to operate and maintain water treatment, supply, and distribution facilities. You will respond to service calls and ensure reliable water delivery while working in varying field conditions.

The role requires Grade I/II operator certificates and a Class B license with airbrake/tank endorsements, with A being desirable; schedule may include irregular hours and weekends.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid Grade I (or higher) Water Distribution Operator Certificate issued by the State of California.
Must possess a valid Grade II (or higher) Water Treatment Operator certificate issued by the State of California.
Possession of a Class B driver’s license with airbrake and tank endorsements; Class A desirable.

Responsibilities

Constructs, operates, maintains, inspects and repairs water treatment, supply and distribution facilities.
Responds to service calls and ensures safe, efficient water delivery.
Performs field water quality testing and sampling; maintains related equipment.
