Job summary

The City of Lynwood seeks a Water Service Worker II to install, maintain and repair water distribution facilities, respond to service calls and ensure safe, reliable water delivery to residents.

Under supervision, you will operate pumps and controls, perform field testing, and coordinate with the Public Works Department. Applicants should have CA water operator certificates and a Class B license; at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• One or more years recent experience operating water pumping and control systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Willingness to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair water treatment, supply and distribution facilities.
• Perform field water quality testing and sampling.
