Job summary

Team Gilbert is seeking a highly motivated professional to fill the Utility Worker I & II positions in Water Distribution. The role includes installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing the water distribution system, plus operating heavy equipment and locating underground assets with GIS maps.

Candidates must have a HS diploma or GED, possess or obtain a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement, and secure ADEQ Grade I Water Distribution Certification within a year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• ADEQ Grade I Water Distribution Certification within one year of hire.
• CDL with Tanker Endorsement or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, inspect, and repair the water distribution system.
• Operate equipment, machinery, and tools for department projects.
• Locate underground water assets using GIS maps in streets and rights-of-way.
• Complete vehicle inspection forms and daily logs.
• Be on call and work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
