Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Up to 1 year of public sector water system or related equipment maintenance experience preferred.
• Must possess Class A CDL permit with Tanker Endorsement or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess ADEQ Grade I Water Distribution Certification within one year of hire.
• On-Call Rotation is a requirement of this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair work on the water distribution system.
• Operate a variety of equipment, machinery, and tools used in department projects.
• Locate underground water assets in public streets, alleys, utility easements, and right-of-way using GIS maps.
• Complete vehicle inspection forms and daily work logs.
• Operate heavy equipment including excavation equipment, backhoe, and vac truck.
• Subject to emergency call-out and overtime, including nights, weekends, holidays.
