Job summary

The role involves assisting with service connections, hydrants, pumps, valves, and meters, plus annual flushing and emergency response. You may operate basic equipment and must read maps and plans; CDL within one year is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year maintenance/construction experience preferred.
• Must pass a controlled substance (drug) test; random testing after hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with locating, installing, repairing water service connections, meters, valves, curb boxes, mains and hydrants.
• Assist with pumps, valves, motors in pumping/treatment facilities.
• Operate lawn mower, tractor, washer, GPS equipment; transport equipment with CDL where required.
• Respond to emergency service calls during/after hours; provide temporary water aid as needed.
• Assist with flushing the distribution/transmission system annually.
• Attend safety seminars and follow safety regulations.
• Read plans/maps; maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment; snow removal.
