Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. is seeking an entry-level field/maintenance worker to support water distribution and wastewater systems. You will perform semi-skilled installation, maintenance and repair of meters, valves, gauges and pumps, and help keep vehicles and equipment in safe working order.

Responsibilities include reading meters, updating work orders, and assisting with various tasks as needed. A valid U.S. driver’s license is required, and a CDL permit must be earned within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• No experience required; mechanical/electrical experience preferred.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
• A CDL permit must be attained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled installation, maintenance and repair of valves, meters, gauges, pumps and related equipment in water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment per company procedures.
• Load and unload equipment, chemicals and supplies at worksites and storage areas.
• Read meters as needed and update work orders in the system.
