Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a hands-on Water Distribution Technician to install, repair, and maintain water distribution system assets at various job sites in Idaho. You will perform excavation restoration, carpentry, concrete, and welding tasks as part of daily field operations.

The role requires physical endurance, ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and availability for overtime and emergencies. Prior water utility experience and a valid CDL may be preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of groundwater distribution systems.
• Ability to read maps and interpret construction plans.
• General skills in carpentry, concrete, painting and plumbing.
• Ability to use digital devices and software to communicate and record work.

Responsibilities

• Maintains water distribution system by repairing, tapping and installing mains and service lines.
• Performs excavation restoration in grass, sidewalks, roads, easements and rights of way.
• Performs flow tests, leak surveys, and field water quality tests.
• Obtains water samples and delivers them to the lab for analysis.
• Keeps accurate records of work performed.
• Locates water distribution facilities (mains, service lines, etc.).
• Concrete work; form, pour, and finish.
• Welding and metal fabrication.
