City of Troy Public Works Department seeks a qualified supervisor to oversee scheduling, maintenance and construction activities. The role includes field work as part of the Public Works crew and may involve substituting for the Director of Public Works in his absence.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent with college-level civil engineering training encouraged; five years in water construction/maintenance with at least three years supervisory experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training in civil engineering encouraged.
• At least five (5) years of progressive responsibility in water construction and maintenance experience strongly recommended, with a min of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises departmental personnel and assigns tasks.
• Provides on-site supervision of Public Works crew as directed.
• Answers field questions from Public Works crew and the public.
• Directs snow and ice removal operations.
• Assists with directing projects and development of bid specifications.
