Job summary

City of Titusville is seeking a skilled Supervisor for Public Works, responsible for overseeing multiple crews across divisions such as Facilities Maintenance and Water Field Operations. You will prioritize tasks, assign work, and ensure project deadlines are met with minimal supervision.

The role requires strong communication, supervisory experience, and knowledge of safety procedures; candidates must have a high school diploma and 5 years of public works experience, with degree substitutions

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and 5 years’ public works experience.
• A two-year or four-year degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Must obtain OSHA certifications within nine months of hire.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Must complete supervisory training within twelve months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, coaches, and evaluates assigned staff; maintains performance documentation.
• Trains employees in operations, safety, equipment use, and technical functions.
• Coordinates work assignments with management and allocates resources to meet deadlines.
• Oversees daily field operations and monitors project progress; provides technical guidance.
