Responsibilities

• Learn tasks related to maintenance and operation of a water distribution system.
• Learn proper use of tools and equipment for the job.
• Under direction, assist in installation, repairs, and replacement of water mains, services, valves, hydrants, and meters.
• Interact with customers as a company representative.
• Perform meter reads, ons/offs, and field investigations.
• Participate in routine maintenance such as flushing, valve exercising, and hydrant maintenance.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment according to safety procedures.
• Available for emergency response 24/7.
• Work under immediate supervision.
