Job summary

Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority in New Jersey is hiring a Water Distribution Operation Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the authority's water transmission and distribution system. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least seven years in public water system operations, with supervisory experience preferred.

A NJ DEP W-2 Public Water Distribution License or the ability to obtain within an approved timeframe is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in public water system operations.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• NJ DEP W-2 Public Water Distribution License or ability to obtain within approved timeframe required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the authority's water transmission and distribution system.
• Supervise field staff and coordinate daily assignments.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and installation of mains, valves, hydrants, and meters.
• Support leak detection and utility markout programs.
• Administer services contracts and maintain inventory and records.
• Participate in emergency response activities and be available outside normal business hours.
