The Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority is hiring a full-time Apprentice Operator to assist with water treatment operations, ensuring safe and reliable drinking water for customers. The role involves outdoor work in varying conditions and occasional non-standard hours.

Responsibilities include water quality sampling, equipment maintenance, operating Authority vehicles, snow removal, recordkeeping, and delivering high levels of customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s License required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform water quality sampling and related tests.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and care.
• Operate Authority vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Assist with snow removal activities and site upkeep.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
