Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Water Design-Build Design Manager in California to lead the execution of large water and wastewater projects using Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build and PPP. This leadership role shapes major infrastructure programs and drives meaningful change across the country.

You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, oversee scheduling, cost control and contract execution, and represent Jacobs in client meetings and industry forums.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 15+ years in complex water infrastructure projects incl Design-Build/PPP.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) Registration.
• Collaborative leadership of diverse teams in high-intensity settings.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary design teams across offices to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage schedule, earned value, and costs to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Oversee contract execution, staffing and project profitability.
• Represent Jacobs in client meetings and industry forums.
• Support business development for national Design-Build practice.
• Ensure quality and coordination of design and construction activities.
