Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a driven Construction Manager to lead onsite construction for major design-build water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Northwest. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, field staff, and client representatives to ensure safe, high-quality execution and alignment with schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of construction experience, including at least 10 years managing field execution on large, complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading construction activities on water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, or other heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, subcontract administration, safety programs, and quality management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead field teams and manage multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
• Experience with project closeout activities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite construction activities for design-build infrastructure projects.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, productivity, safety compliance, and workmanship.
• Direct and coordinate project superintendents and field staff to ensure efficient execution of work.
• Monitor construction progress and proactively identify and resolve field issues that may impact safety, schedule, cost, or quality.
• Conduct regular site walks, inspections, and coordination meetings with subcontractors, superintendents, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, recovery plans, and execution strategies with the Project Manager.
