Job summary

City of Pratt is seeking a maintenance worker to perform manual labor and light construction tasks using automotive equipment under general supervision. You will help keep streets, parks and facilities in good repair.

Required are a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Kansas driver’s license (CDL may be required depending on the department), and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. Experience is helpful but not required; training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; state/federal certification may be required.
• Experience in manual labor, maintenance or construction helpful but not required.
• Must have valid Kansas driver’s license; CDL may be required depending on department.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and construction tasks using automotive equipment.
• Work under general supervision, following established procedures.
• Operate outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Assist with tasks as required by Supervisor/Foreman.
